Hybrid Creative Studio, Production Company, & Advertising Agency

DCM KID, or Don’t Call Me Kid, infuses storytelling and global experiences into client campaigns—ebbing, flowing, and evolving to meet today’s dynamic landscape. Born in the new world, we’re laser-focused on working hard and efficiently, then logging off. We’re not your traditional agency. With a decentralized network of contractors across the U.S. and zero offices, we have a true work-life balance and it shows in the passion our people bring to your project.

Recent DCM Kid Awards

Our team took home gold in the MUSE Awards for our video interview with Ozomatli’s Raul Pacheco. This one really hit us in the emotions because it was so personal to the team.

Mexican-American professional vocalist and trumpeter, Adelaide Pilar, dives into an iconic cornerstone of Latino culture – the Pachuco Zoot Suit.
We created this short as part of a larger campaign around her new song, Free to Be Me. While some of the content takes a traditional, direct promo approach, we also sought to infuse storytelling, history, education, and cultural relevancy, while spotlighting Adelaide’s dynamic personality and passion points, as a nod to the song’s lyrics.

Watch her video on the pachuco suit, then give her new track a listen!

DCM Kid won the 2024 Summit Emerging Media Award for our involvemetn in the Adelaide Pilar “Free to Be Me” song release’s Hispanic heritage social media campaign.

Ashley Vasquez is an award-winning entrepreneur with 12 years experience straddling the worlds of organic and paid social media, brand development, ecommerce and creative production across verticals from startups to Fortune 500s.

Exhilarated by the idea that there are no failures, only iterations, she believes in pairing data with logic and gut-checks, resulting in customized work appropriate for the dynamic landscape.

Ashley has brought her solution-oriented, anything-is-possible mindset to brands such as Corona Beer, Disney, Petco, ABC, Pfizer, Honda, Robert Mondavi Wines, iRobot, Emerge Beauty, Capital One, STX Entertainment, Wyndham Hotels, Jack in the Box and California Lottery, to name a few.

A personal passion, she often speaks at conferences, mentors and teaches the next generation of advertising moguls at cutting-edge establishments such as The Miami Ad School and CalState.

Originally from the Chicago area, Ashley has a passion for hearty Midwestern-style food. Now based in LA, her deep-dish pizza and ballpark hot dog diet has evolved to also include kale and green juice.

Zachary Dripps is a Los Angeles based filmmaker with an arsenal of skills and experience in the creative industry, from major Netflix and Hulu films such as The Prom, Palm Springs, Grown-ish and Arcane, to top-tier brand advertising campaigns for household names like Riot Games, Mont Blac, and UGG.

Devin Weakland has worked in media for over eight years. With experience in copywriting, content production, short and long-form writing, she has worked across social, digital, email, and out of home. She especially loves brand building, tone of voice creation, and infusing creativity with strategy. This, rivaled with her passion for the oxford comma.

She’s lent her expertise to clients such as Cape Cod Chips, Sleep Number, Paramount+, iRobot, Unilever, United Healthcare, and Corona Beer to name a few, as well as a pro bono national #StopAsianHate campaign.

Hailing from Los Angeles, she resides in New York City after watching one too many episodes of Sex and the City. When she’s not removing exclamation points from her work emails, she’s either taking photos of her food in portrait mode, pushing the limits of her lactose intolerance, or waiting for the F train!
